Tips On Choosing The Right Stools For Your Home
Choose stools for a work counter, bar, or breakfast counter can often add the final touch needed to make the room complete. With such a variety of options available today, you should have little difficulty in finding many models that would match your existing decor. Selected properly, stools offer practical beauty that will last for many years.
Traditional stools are heavy and normally finished in a dark stain. The most common are reminiscent of an English pub. However, there are also wood bar stools in Early American, Shaker, and Mission styles, to name a few. Finishes do not need to be a dark walnut or cherry, but can also be oak, pine, or ash in color. Most, but not all, have backs, and some also have arms. You can find both swivel and stationary styles as well.
Contemporary bar stools are defined by their minimalist, clean lines. They are normally not as bulky as a traditional design. They may be well padded or manufactured of hard plastic. Contemporary models seldom offer arms.
Modern bar stools are often dramatic or whimsical. They typically have distinctive styles and materials. They usually do not work well in a formal setting but can be good choices for use in game rooms.
Retro stools sport a lot of chrome and normally have brightly colored vinyl incorporated into them. Both the style and the materials are intended to remind one of the 1950s diners and cafes. Arms are seldom found, but backs may be included in the design.
Decide where the stools will be placed before making a purchase. Many are offered in a full range of heights. Some are engineered for table height, while others are set for the height of a bar. A great number of models have adjustable heights, allowing you to set the exact height for your needs. When selecting a stool with arms, make sure there is sufficient clearance for them so they will not be damaged when replacing the stool.
A swivel makes it easier to get into and out of the stool. Most styles offer at least some models that swivel. Even a few backless styles are capable of pivoting in place. Without swivels, stools have to be physically moved into place, which can scratch floor tiles.
Whether you prefer fabric, vinyl, or leather, and whether your tastes run to chrome, wood, or acrylic, you can find what you need. Some purchase kits they must assemble themselves while others buy them already assembled. However you buy them and whatever style you choose, they make an attractive and practical seating option in many areas of your home.
Gluing plastic to fiberglass?
I want to mount a solar panel to the top of my teardrop camper. I do not want to drill holes in the camper...always a mistake.
So...I thought that I would glue two pieces of plastic bar stock to the roof (which is fiberglass) and drill the mounting screws into the plastic. However, I'm finding that plastic, such as polyethylene or polypropylene is very difficult to glue.
Just wondering what I could us that a)can be glued onto fiberglass, b)I can drill screws into, and c)is weather-resistant.
Go to your local hardware store and as for J B Weld brand epoxy. Get the black stuff, not the clear stuff.
J B Weld has minute metal fibers in it, and therefor you can screw into it.

Amazon Kindle Fire review: The Kindle Fire combines lackluster hardware with
top-notch content and cloud services, which at $199 raises the bar on what a
low-price tablet should be.
